OUR STORY

Aloha I'm Bear, owner of Mountain Party Rental and Durango Balloon Company. My journey in special events began on Oʻahu, Hawaii, where I trained with the team at Hawaii Balloon Company. After graduating from Fort Lewis College, I returned to Durango with my wife, Emma, a fourth-generation local, to build a business centered around creativity, community, and celebrations.

Today, we're proud to help bring events to life throughout Durango and Southwest Colorado with quality party rentals, beautiful balloon décor, and dependable service. From intimate gatherings and mountain weddings to corporate events and community celebrations, we love helping make every occasion memorable.

Where It All Began

Our journey started in 2018 with a balloon-decorated VW bus in Durango's Snowdown Light Parade. We returned in 2019 with a Spider-Man-themed float, earning first place in Snowdown's Best Balloon Category. That same year, we celebrated our first anniversary with a community balloon drop at the Main Mall in downtown Durango.

What started with a passion of meeting people has grown into two complementary businesses serving celebrations throughout Southwest Colorado.

What We Do

  • Wedding Rentals — Tents, tables, chairs, linens and lighting.

  • Party Rentals — Equipment and essentials for gatherings and celebrations.

  • Balloon Décor — Custom balloon installations for weddings, corporate events and special occasions.
